603: Writers’ Conference Teen Scholarship

 Ursula K. LeGuin was an eminent force in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy writing and an inspiration to writers everywhere.

Enter for an opportunity to win a scholarship for free entrance to the 2018 603: Writers’ Conference.

Entry Details:

  • Entries are accepted only though email by sending to: submissions@nhwritersproject.org.
  • Entrants must include a completed entry form that can be downloaded here to be eligible for the prize.
  • Each entrant is allowed only one entry.
  • Entrants are selected by anonymous judging. The judges will not know the names of the entrants nor will there be any connection to the entry.
  • The entry must be no more than 1000 words, in any form using the below quote as inspiration:

Applicant Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a high school student.
  • Home schooled students are eligible.
  • Winner selection is not based on financial need, GPA or demographic criteria.
  • Scholarship has no cash value, and is paid directly to the New Hampshire Writers’ Project to cover the entrance fee of the 2018 603: Writers’ Conference ($85.00)

Entry Deadline:

  • Entries will be accepted from midnight February 1, 2018 – midnight February 28, 2018.

Winner Notification

  • Due to the number of entries received, the Writers’ Project can only notify the winner.
  • Feedback will not be provided on any entry.
  • The winner has 5 calendar days from the date of the notification email to respond and verify they will attend the event on April 14, 2018.
  • The winner’s name will be posted on this website once they have confirmed their acceptance and attendance.
