New Year, New Name, New Look
Plus All Your Old Favorite Features
by Martha Carlson-Bradley

STARTING IN JANUARY 2007, the title of the newsletter of the New Hampshire Writers’ Project will be NH Writer—and the newsletter will have a fresh, new design. At the same time, we’ll continue to offer all the features our members have come to expect: news about NHWP and writing in the Granite State; Great Leads, the Literary Calendar, and our other regular features; interviews with writers; articles on craft and publishing.

The new design and name will reflect the organization that NHWP has evolved into over the years. Our former design worked especially well in the early days of the organization: its traditional style suggested that NHWP would be an organization dedicated to serious writing. And over the past eighteen years, NHWP has clearly proven to be, for beginners and experienced writers alike, a professional organization genuinely dedicated to craft as well as business, bringing writers news of their peers as well as sound advice and ideas for their own writing.

The new name will more clearly represent the people who have always been most important to us—NH writers—while the new design will reflect the energy of NHWP and of the contemporary writers and readers we are reaching out to with every word of the newsletter. This January, start the New Year by looking for NH Writer in your mailbox.

Martha Carlson-Bradley is editor of Ex Libris—soon to be NH Writer—as well as a poet and freelance editor.
