If you would like more information about how you can support NHWP, please contact us.
The Annual Fund
NHWP's long-term financial stability depends on contributions to the
Annual Fund. Membership dues, workshop fees, ticket sales, and merchandise
revenue account for just a fraction of our annual income. Donations
to the Annual Fund help bridge the gap between "earned" income
and the actual costs of delivering services to our members and New Hampshire
audiences. Both your membership and Annual Fund gifts help to sustain us. We receive support from NHWP members and friends, foundations,
and corporations. Every gift to the Annual Fund is very important. We
hope you'll give generously at whatever level you can afford. We are grateful for your support.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts to the New Hampshire Writers' Project provide long-term
financial stability, and can also benefit a donor's heirs and help the
donor realize income tax deductions or reduce estate taxes. If you are
considering a planned gift or bequest, please contact our executive
director.
Jane Kenyon Fund
NHWP also helps manage Jane Kenyon Fund, which exists to honor the memory
of Jane Kenyon and to support the creation and performance of poetry
in New England. The Fund presents a cash award to an outstanding New
Hampshire poet every two years, and supports the purchase of the award
winner's books for NH libraries.
Writers' Block Parties
For members who are interested in hosting a reading in their home, our
Writers' Block Parties bring New Hampshire authors together with special
guests for uniquely creative evenings which feature dinner, readings,
and conversations with the authors Over the past several years, Writers'
Block Parties have raised more than $15,000 to support the Writers' Project mission. Featured readers have
included David Carroll, Rebecca Rule, Marie Harris, Ernie Hebert, Sy
Montgomery, Howard Mansfield, and Mary Ann Esposito, among others. Please contact us if you're thinking about hosting
this special fundraiser.
